GE Healthcare is a leading international provider of enterprise solution software, services and technologies for healthcare provider organisations. GE acquired IDX Corporation, which had won the $1bn contract to supply enterprise software solutions to the NHS for all hospitals in London.

To complete programme delivery of a major new Patient Administration System into the UK hospitals following the take-over of IDX, the originator software business, by GE Healthcare.


• Inheriting a loss-making business in 2005, restructured with profits in 2006

• Delivered new programme plans and framework to the prime contractor and met on time, to scope and cost performance

• Successfully led the negotiations with NHS prime contractor and UK Government for GE’s successful withdrawal from the UK NHS IT contract
